The incident happened on Monday afternoon, Sept. 25 in Mount Vernon when a business on Gramatan Avenue received a bomb threat over a phone call, according to the city's Director of Communications Timothy Allen.
The name of the business that was threatened was not released.
The bomb threat prompted Westchester County Police to clear the building and briefly close Gramatan Avenue between North Avenue and Sidney Avenue. The road has since been reopened, Mount Vernon Police announced.
The investigation into the bomb threat is still ongoing. However, there is no danger to the public, Allen said.
